The “Go-To” Shoes

A girl always dreams of having fashionable, sexy shoes that somehow also manage to provide one with comfort. I’ve already started to make my shoe purchases for this fall; the list however, keeps growing. Check out some of my go-to shoes for this upcoming season:

1. The Heeled Bootie from Madewell 1937.

I bought these last year and was able to wear them throughout fall, winter, and spring. I can not wait to pull them out again. They are classics. The wooden heel (which is so in) provides comfort and a sexy, yet edgy look. They originally came in black suede and brown suede; one of my friends purchased the black ones (also a great investment, as black goes with almost everything). I told myself I would not purchase these until they came out in a grey/tan color. Now, Madewell offers them in four colors: a maroon, olive, black, and castle rock (the color pictured above).

2. The Loafer from Sperry.

Loafers are this fall’s come back shoe. Taking the menswear for women to another level. This season, loafers will become your go-to flats. These loafers are beyond comfortable. With a pair of dark denim skinny jeans or a pair of shorts with tights — the loafers will pull together any look that screams modern simplicity.

3. The Seychelles Disguise Over-the-Knee Boot.

These boots, which also come in black, provide a wearer with complete comfort (thanks to the thicker heel) and an edgier sexiness. They come up to about a little over the knee. They look cute with denim (there’s a zipper on the inner part of the boot, which makes it easier to tuck in your favorite pair of denim) or with a dress/skirt and tights. I’ve become obsessed with this shade - I think it just screams Fall/Winter. They are so compatible and completely easy to throw on. Edginess when you’re in a rush, the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe.

4. The Kimchi Blue Linen Double Buckle Heel from UrbanOutfitters.

How adorable are these? Easy to wear to work and even easier to wear out at night. Buckles and straps have trickled their way into mainstream fashion. There’s just something about adding straps that takes a shoe from boring to sleek and stylish. This shoe comes in black, pink, or grey. Each color provides an effortlessly stylin’ look. Black is just so basic; I would recommend the black or grey in these. The pink screams spring/summer too much and would not make an easy transition into the other two seasons. I just love the black, with a pair of trouser jeans or dress pants — perfection.

Comfort comes down to the heel; the chunkier the heel, the more comfortable the shoe will likely be after a long school and/or work day. Each of these shoes is a great transitional shoe — you can wear to school/work and then go out in the evening with them.

Some of the shoes are a bit pricey, however, keep in mind each of these shoes can be worn in 3 of the 4 seasons if not 4 of the 4 seasons. The price you pay is for the quality and the amount you will be wearing the shoe, being that these shoes will be your ‘go-to shoes.’
